Privacy

VideoFile Tools is operated by Shipit Software. It processes videos without requiring an account.

What we process

When you upload a file, our processing service receives its contents, filename and media information, such as duration and codecs. We store temporary job information and output files to provide conversion, compression, trimming and audio extraction.

Temporary storage and access

Uploads and results are scheduled for removal after 24 hours. Cleanup runs periodically, so removal may occur after that interval. This is temporary processing storage, not a backup service. Download any result you want to keep.

Private access tokens protect uploads and jobs. Anyone with a token or a complete result link can access the corresponding file while it is retained. Keep these references private. No account history or account recovery is provided.

Service providers

Cloudflare delivers the website, routes requests, and hosts the video processing service and temporary storage. Cloudflare receives the request information needed to operate these services, including IP addresses.

ChatGPT integration

When you use the extension, the selected file is transferred to our processing service. If you save a result back to ChatGPT, that copy is handled by ChatGPT under its own policies and retention settings. Our temporary-file expiry does not remove copies saved elsewhere.

Support requests

If you use the support form, we store your message and any optional reply email in a private Cloudflare storage bucket so we can investigate and respond. Support requests are scheduled for deletion after 90 days, separately from the 24-hour media retention period. Do not include file contents, private access links, tokens or passwords. Leaving an email is optional; it does not create an account.

Your choices

Use only files you are comfortable sending to an online processing service. Keep your original and avoid sharing access links. Closing your browser does not immediately delete an uploaded file; the temporary retention schedule still applies.
